Grow your career by developing a 1st class operation…

For the past four years, this trusted, for-purpose community services organisation has actively expanded to meet the growing needs of diverse communities in the southeast corner of Queensland. What sets this organisation apart from others is its unique personal approach and strong emphasis on therapeutic care.

It is geared to provide innovative high quality, person-centred support to families in marginalised communities, children and youth within the child protection system and those with a disability. Community acceptance of its quality work has been significant: so much so, that this best-practise, for community organisation is growing rapidly, week by week.

This company growth has opened a unique opportunity for a positive, diplomatic, resilient and solutions-focused HR professional whose sights are set on developing an extraordinary breadth of expertise in their chosen discipline.

This is a role where you need to expect the unexpected… every day.

Big and busy, fast moving and constantly challenging, it will help you learn and grow, extend your boundaries and drive you forward until you ultimately become the subject-matter expert you’ve always aspired to be.

In a vibrant culture that celebrates its people and appreciates the collective contributions that drive its ongoing success, you’ll work with other leaders on all HR, safety and culture matters as you develop strategies to bring out the best in every individual.

Leading an excellent team of HR professionals, you’ll steer the full recruitment cycle, manage performance evaluations, champion diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives and foster a true sense of ‘belonging’ among all team members.

Supporting staff in achieving best practice in pastoral care, mediation, disciplinary action and formal/informal grievances, you’ll have oversight of all day-to-day HR issues, including staffing forecasts and statistics.

Evaluating the effectiveness of programs and initiatives to make data driven decisions, you’ll drive WHS requirements, encourage safety, mitigate risk, ensure compliance with industry trends and legislation and much more.

But of course, if you have the experience and the capabilities, you’ll know all that. And welcome it. You’ll also understand that this is a high-energy-going-places sort of a role. In this immersive role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn extensively and contribute to the continually evolving skillset you bring to the position as part of the Senior Leadership Team, working towards strategic goals over the coming years.

You’ll have your own proven processes of working with and managing a team in a fast moving, expect the-unexpected type of job.  It’s very important that you do.

To thrive in this position and build a strong reputation for the future, you will need to be confident, competent, calm, and capable, remaining unflustered and friendly no matter what the day brings. With these skills, the rewards will be career-defining
