Importantly, Deaf Connect is not a medical service provider seeking to “fix” deafness. It is a culture and community that celebrates Deaf identity. As Australia’s largest employer of Deaf people, Deaf Connect is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to live their best lives. Understanding this cultural distinction is essential for any Board member.
