Where the arts and education meet…

Believing in the power of community and the importance of understanding and compassion, there are exciting plans for the future of this organisation, whose mission, through the power of the creative arts, is to provide educational and social programs that empower participants on the autism spectrum to develop skills through evidence-based best practice coaching.

This exceptional yet small organisation was first established in Brisbane in 2017 in response to need. Today, they are leading the way in shaping positive outcomes when arts practitioners bring their humanistic sensibilities, insight and creative assets.

A heartwarming place to work

In the heart of a bustling office, where the hum of activity never ceases, a new opportunity awaits a Finance/Accounts Lead ready to make a difference; someone with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.

The role itself is multifaceted, encompassing invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, debt collection, and fortnightly payroll for a diverse team of approximately 40 staff, including both permanent and casual employees. While the payroll process is straightforward, it includes some broken shift allowances and weekend penalty rates, adding a touch of complexity.

The ideal candidate will not only show initiative and attention to detail but also possess the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently. Understanding NDIS funding and the SCHADS Award is a plus, but this chilled organisation is more than willing to invest in upskilling the right person.

Operating in an outward-facing environment, this role requires direct engagement with clients and families, handling telephone enquiries and face-to-face interactions about financial matters. Calm, confident, and unflappable – these are the qualities that will ensure success in this role.

This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a team that values growth, support, and making a positive impact. Are you ready to step into this role and bring your expertise to a place where you can truly thrive?
