  • Current Situation

    Centacare is in a period of significant growth, with the establishment of new services working in the home care space.  Many of their systems and processes are still under development and/or ongoing restructure with new teams being established across multiple regions (9)As part of this growth Windsor supported Service Leader recruitment in Kingaroy, Maroochydore and Hervey Bay (Nov/Dec 24).

    There will be a strong focus on home care service delivery with new funding streams coming online.

    As the Senior Service Leader, you will be mentor and guide a team of Service Leaders across the region who are engaged with aged care clients to set up care plans based on individual need.

    The Senior Service Leader role is based in the Brisbane South region which includes Stones Corner, Woolloongabba, Coopers Plains and Woodridge. 

  • Role Overview

    Understanding the environment and the challenges (internal and external): 

    • Role based in Stones Corner office. May have the option to work out of the Darra office if needed. 
    • Clinical risk is a high priority based on the complexity of clients they are providing services to in this region. 
    • Will carry a case load of up to 60 clients and will manage a team of support workers. 
    • Work in partnership with the Regional Operations Manager (Kylee) to support the Service Leaders (5) who in turn report to Kylee.  
    • Periodically required to act up into the Regional Operations Manager role.  
    • Mentor and coach Service Leaders who require significant upskilling, particularly around clinical risk

    • Great communicator (coach/mentor) 
    • Problem solver 
    • Conflict resolution with both internal/external stakeholders 
    • Ability to implement strategies and focus on improvement 
    • Complaints management, both internal and external 
    • Stabilise the team and systems – working towards integrated care plans and systems 
    • SSL role is central to these changes and ongoing restructure 
    • Really need the right fit, someone who can nurture Service Leaders and Support Workers 
    • Registered Nurse (AHPRA) required to manage clinical risk assessment and care planning
