Ideal for finance professional transitioning to retirement or returning to work …
Long established and respected as a business that ‘fights above its weight’, this State-wide NFP provides timely, relevant and needed services to people living with disabilities in Queensland. Transparent and ethical, operating on strong human rights values, it has long championed the rights, voice and leadership of these valued citizens. Its mission is to empower individuals with disability so they can be unconditionally included in the economic and social fabric of the community.
Small, strong and financially healthy, it has recently acquired some significant new funding. This will open opportunities for growth with the addition of more staff, new programs and further initiatives for reform. All of these are exciting dynamics in the lead up to the 2032 Olympic Games with its potential to gain better all-round accessibility and inclusion.
This busy part-time role with its power to help shape the future of this admirable peak body is due to the retirement of the current Accountant. Well-established systems and procedures are in place; teams are well-tuned and organic expansion is about to begin. Everything is in great shape.
So, what’s needed now is another vibrant, flexible, socially responsive and accomplished financial professional, with capabilities covering all aspects of NFP accounting.
If you have what it takes, you’ll know that includes grants and acquittals, payroll, HR, IR, ICT, governance and risk and asset management. Responsibilities also include analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to predict future movement and – of course – full reporting of all findings in language the non-financial can understand.
This is a plumb role for a compassionate Accountant, who lives every day by their values.
What will count here – in addition to the way you ‘get’ the financial side of NFP – is your ability to actively listen, warm communications skills, an easy, ‘roll up the sleeves and get it done’ attitude and a genuine respect for all your diverse ‘workmates’, clients and customers.
Accessible and helpful by nature, inclusive and respectful, you’re ready to pitch in and add your strength to long overdue changes in the human rights and disability sectors in Queensland. If this role feels ‘made for you’ and you’re keen to get started, you can apply now by emailing your resume with a covering letter that tells your unique story in WORD format quoting reference number MCSNFO-W to apply@windsor-group.com.au or contact Mike Conroy on 07 3211 0001.
