As a Senior Community Housing Officer, you’ll play a vital role in sustaining tenancies, supporting your team and ensuring compliance with housing legislation and organisational standards.
This position is dynamic and hands-on. Your day could include reviewing rent eligibility, conducting property inspections, troubleshooting complex tenancy issues and ensuring accurate data management across systems like Chintaro and Microsoft Office. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and collaborate with government agencies, support services and regulatory bodies to deliver housing solutions and uphold best practice.
Success in this role requires more than technical know-how. It calls for resilience, cultural awareness, and a genuine desire to help. You’ll need to balance compassion with consistency, think critically under pressure and act confidently within policy and legislation. Your ability to mentor through example and contribute to a positive team culture will set you apart.

You’ll bring proven experience in tenancy or property management, a thorough understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, community or social housing service delivery policies, strong administrative and data accuracy skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with empathy, professionalism, cultural awareness and resilience.
