In this pivotal role, you’ll be making a tangible difference to people’s lives …
Partnering with people with a mental illness and their families in the community since the 1970’s, this organisation is a progressive and growing organisation with a strong commitment to providing community-based recovery-oriented supports and services. They work alongside people and communities to respond to unmet needs through the design and delivery of contemporary, innovative, and person-centred psychosocial support services. Their mission is grounded in the values of connection, inclusion, and resilience, which are embedded in our strategic vision, organisational practices, and service delivery.

As demand for mental health services continues to grow, this organisation is entering a critical stage in its growth journey. Their success depends on investing in the key enablers of innovation, people, culture, systems, and quality, all essential to strengthening organisational capability, delivering contemporary services, and achieving high-quality outcomes for the people we support.

As they transition into a larger, more proactive organisation, this role has been established to help drive and embed these changes.

Described as ‘generalist HR’- this role is anything but…
Reporting to the Capability & Enablement Manager (CEM), you’ll be a strategic, hands-on, people-first HR all-rounder at the heart of organisational capacity uplift—working closely with the CEM as part of an interdisciplinary team of three driving capability uplift across the organisation.

Vibrant, versatile and values-driven you’ll draw on your knowledge, natural attributes, professional (and perhaps lived) experience as you get to know the business and its people ‘from the inside out’.

As you take ownership of the role and lead the smooth implementation of an approved 3-year People & Culture Strategy, you’ll advise, collaborate, plan and shape initiatives to elevate the HR function across the business.

Calm, creative and a skilled communicator with a genuine commitment to inclusion, you’ll use your skills to empower others and foster engagement in driving positive change and improvement across the organisation.

So, if you are people-centric, have a passion for community-based mental health recovery, can see the Big Picture, are skilled at creating clear and consistent processes for turning strategy into action and can’t wait to get moving, please tell us of your interest today.

As a unique individual who puts your knowledge and the value of your work first, your covering letter should tell your own story (lived experience welcomed) and what you believe you can bring to this cherished organisation.
