This is not your routine operations role. This purpose-driven, tenant-focused, not-for-profit social enterprise provides long-term housing to individuals and families experiencing financial and social disadvantage. With a growing portfolio and a bold vision for the future, they are operating with a dynamic high-performing team.
Recently, the Board and CEO strategically aligned the organisation and reshaped it for impact and outcomes. This transformation ensures the capability to deliver on a bold 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, built around the pillars of Homes, Community, Capability, and Sustainability. The refreshed structure strengthens operational foundations, enhances service delivery, and positions the organisation to achieve long-term growth and improved outcomes for tenants and the broader community.
As Operations Manager, you’ll drive excellence in service delivery, leading tenancy and community engagement to support thriving, connected, and sustainable communities. You’ll guide a passionate, focused and efficient team and work closely with tenants to ensure housing outcomes are sustained and lives are well-lived.
This role is about more than compliance and reporting. It’s about building trust, navigating complexity, and leading with empathy. You’ll be the go-to for service delivery, tenancy transitions, inspections, rent reviews, and stakeholder engagement all while ensuring regulatory requirements are met and exceeded.
Your strengths will include:
- A deep understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and (ideally) the Housing Act 2003 and Housing Regulations 2015.
- Experience in community housing social services or working with the Department of Housing
- Exceptional self-awareness and empathy, and a collaborative leadership style
- Confidence in managing complex tenant needs with sensitivity and professionalism
- Strong operational oversight and reporting capability
- Ability to mentor and support a growing team with clarity and care
You’ll be working alongside a visionary CEO and a committed Board who are reshaping the organisation to meet strategic goals. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role where your leadership will directly impact lives and where your voice will be heard.
