Be the steady voice, calm support and compassionate guide for people navigating one of the most challenging moments of their lives.
- Full-time role supporting vulnerable clients with empathy, clarity and care
- Join a respected nonprofit making a life-changing difference across Queensland
- Brisbane-based, with flexibility once established
When someone experiences trauma, especially a young person, they deserve someone who will listen, reassure, guide and walk alongside them with empathy and unwavering professionalism. As an Intake & Case Coordination Officer, you are that person.
This is meaningful human work. It calls for resilience, emotional maturity, patience and a willingness to learn while supported by a team grounded in compassion, integrity and respect.
With cases that can span months or years, your role is to build trust, maintain clear communication and apply a trauma‑informed approach so every person feels genuinely heard and supported. You will conduct thorough intake conversations, gather accurate information and keep meticulous records in Dynamics CRM – crucial for reporting and preparing volunteers when matters progress. Alongside this, you’ll follow up missing details promptly and handle a steady flow of referrals with calm efficiency and empathy.
The subject matter is sensitive, and the pace is high, so sound judgement, clear communication and emotional steadiness are essential. The impact is profound: every conversation, every update and every moment of reassurance helps someone move from confusion towards confidence.
Although not a senior role, it requires maturity and personal strength. You may come from community services, youth work, customer support or another people focused environment. Experience with vulnerable individuals or in the nonprofit sector is valued, as is any volunteer background. Ultimately, your empathy and willingness to learn will shape your success.
You will join a warm, supportive team led by the Senior Intake & Case Coordinator, complete trauma‑informed practice training and have access to nonprofit salary packaging benefits. The role is Brisbane based, with hybrid options once established.
If you’re looking for purposeful work where your presence truly matters, this is your chance to make a real and lasting difference.
