A developing role in a workplace with a wonderful culture, wise support, and exciting projects in the pipeline…
Widely regarded as one of Queensland’s most trusted charities, this organisation is dedicated to enriching the confidence, independence, mobility, and quality of life of people with vision loss or blindness. Its superbly trained guide dogs, loved and respected wherever they go, are just one way it transforms lives and brings joy.
But these remarkable dogs are only one part of a broader, holistic suite of life-changing services. The organisation also delivers tailored programs in mobility training, counselling, occupational therapy, assistive technology, and more, each designed to help individuals achieve their unique goals.
Following a recent restructure, the Philanthropy and Fundraising team is being revitalised under the leadership of a skilled and supportive Philanthropy Manager within major gifts and foundations. With a passionate team and a culture that welcomes fresh talent and ideas, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation. New initiatives are being smoothly translated into action, expanding services and deepening impact.
The pipeline is rich with promise. A capital campaign is set to launch in June 2026, and a new program – providing court dogs to support children navigating the justice system – is in development. Infrastructure expansion is also underway, opening doors to meaningful new donor conversations. It’s a bright future for a nonprofit with a strong reputation as a preferred employer.
The timing is ideal for you to take the next decisive step in your fundraising career.
As an emerging fundraising professional, you bring grace, intelligence, initiative, sound judgement, empathy, and a superlative set of social skills. You’re a skilled communicator whose warmth and integrity open doors. You build trust quickly, deliver on your promises, and navigate challenges with quiet resilience and professionalism.
You’re also an expert in the making, with a solid understanding of contemporary fundraising and the philanthropic landscape. Your ability to communicate creative ideas and inspire others to make a real difference will be key to your success in this person-centred, purpose-driven role.
