For a seasoned professional with the skills and determination to build both a system and a legacy, this is a chance to shine…
The core business of this well reputed, financially secure nonprofit is in providing interventions, clinical services and family support so that babies and children with hearing impairment are given every chance of a full life. Families are involved at all stages to help their children become adept communicators, confident within themselves and capable of living a rich life.
A proud legacy of continuing innovation …
This is a strategic opportunity to consolidate all the philanthropic and fundraising aspects that have been tackled over the years, into one formalised contemporary structure.
The organisation has various benefactors and lots of great stories – with a range of fundraising activities carried out over time. But there’s never been an opportunity for a seasoned subject-matter expert, to bring it all together while providing clear direction and informed hands-on leadership. Until now.
This new executive leadership position will be responsible to the CEO…
It’s a role with a wide scope that includes driving strategic growth, enhancing brand reputation, and cultivating responsive high-value external relationships. In plain speak, that essentially means getting in, absorbing all that’s been before – and how that played – checking future needs and wants, monitoring market movements; then rolling up your sleeves and drawing on your expertise to tie it all together.
As the overseer of Business Development, Marketing, Fundraising and Community Engagement functions, you’ll play a pivotal role in finding ways to significantly increase fundraising, expand market presence, strengthen referral networks and secure financial and reputational support from partners and stakeholders. What a lovely challenge. And what a great way to showcase your career capabilities.
Obviously, you’ll need to really know your stuff inside and out, be happy to work hands-on devising strategy, building systems and structures and doing everything else needed to set up this great enterprise for long term success. And, as you know from experience, it will develop its own unique momentum from there.
For a high‑energy, influential subject‑matter leader with a strong professional track record, the opportunity is compelling. While the role will involve navigating both big‑picture and day‑to‑day challenges, it also offers the chance to re‑energise momentum and lead positively through a period of renewal.
The organisation has a strong values base and mission led culture with a passionate team dedicated to the impact and support they offer families often navigating uncertain times. So passion and alignment are critical to being successful as is a willingness to be involved boots and all.
