Exciting people-centred, methodically structured, project delivery …
This purpose-driven, charitable organisation enhances the independence, mobility and quality of life for people with vision loss or blindness.

For 65+ years, it has been widely known for its world-class program. But today, it also offers a suite of vital support services, purpose-designed to meet the unique needs of each client. These include allied health support, orientation and mobility training and assistive technology guidance.

The organisation is currently in a pivotal phase of strategic renewal, with plans to build its project management capability ‘from the ground up’. This presents a rare, career-defining opportunity for an inaugural Project Manager to play a central role in shaping the enterprise’s future.

It’s a unique chance to lead interesting projects, unleash your creativity, set up steps and structures to analyse and report on initiatives, upskill peers, build a contemporary culture – and to do good every day.

It’s a role with significant scope ….
Skilled strategic thinking will be your key to success, as will the ability to pivot between high level thinking/planning and detailed execution. As any good project manager knows, those capabilities need to be underpinned by soft skills that encourage trust, collaboration, resilience and cooperation.

While you are expected to be a great hands-on leader, planner and organiser, you must also be able to guide teams through change with empathy and clarity.  Of course, it’s also critical that you’re personally and professionally aligned with the organisation’s mission and values.

Certainly, your success in this role will be rated by outstanding project delivery. But it will also be measured by your contribution in terms of long-term change, i.e. making a meaningful difference that enhances business sustainability while delivering cohesive, person-centred care.

So, what do you need to be considered ….
From your experience driving continuous improvement as a Project Manager in a cross functional setting, you will bring familiarity with well-known project management and business analysis tools and methodologies.

A broad understanding of the allied health sector, ability to communicate and report project progress   plus a strong record of achieving planned outcomes will all add lustre to your application. An empathetic approach, willingness to lead people and the ability to juggle multiple projects will set you up for success.

This is a Project Management role where you will lead really interesting projects across different domains. Your work will add profound value to both the business and the day-to-day lives of the clients it serves; this is an opportunity not to be missed.

To be considered for this role, please forward your compelling cover letter and resume that shares your unique story. Be sure to highlight the core values you believe you would bring to this exceptional charitable enterprise.
