POLICY ADVISOR – CHILD SAFETY
Lead, Develop and Implement National Policy Frameworks and elevate the child safety agenda for a large & complex organisation.
- Flexible working arrangements
- City Fringe Location
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills required
As part of one of Australia’s largest faith-based organisations, our client is committed to developing National consistent frameworks to foster a safe place for children.
Your role here will be to lead the development and implementation of National Policy that creates and nurtures a culture of child safety across a complex and diverse organisation. ‘Culture’ is the operative word here, as this role is not responsible for policies developed in silo or implemented as a result of punitive red tape. Rather, you will be passionate about the ‘why’ around child safety risk management and committed to research, analysis, and – vitally – stakeholder engagement to ensure policies are fit for purpose and successfully adopted.
Your stakeholders are geographically dispersed and varied in function and experience. To be successful you will have demonstrated success in developing and implementing policy in a large, diverse organisation and engaging with people with varying understandings of policy and its purposes.
For this complex and busy role, you will need tertiary qualifications in a relevant field combined with at least three years’ experience in a research and/or policy making role. This does not have to have been in the area of child safety – but could have been in government, advocacy or with another complex organisation – so long as it has given you an exceptional understanding of best-practice, consistent policy development and analysis across both operational and strategic frameworks.
Central to your skill set is the proven ability to grasp new concepts, quickly absorb and analyse large amounts of information and produce succinct reports and briefing papers.
If you are person of exceptionally high integrity and steadfast purpose, you have a reputation for always acting honestly and impartially please apply with a cover letter and your resume in WORD format quoting reference number JFPACS-Web to email@example.com or call Jane Fisher for a confidential discussion on 07 3211 0001.
