MANAGER DATA INSIGHTS
‘Own’ this large data base with its new Raiser’s Edge software. Care for it. Delve into its intricacies and power. And promote the capital it holds across this NFP Foundation.
- You must be an experienced technical IT expert, ideally in Raiser’s Edge
- FT role located inner Brisbane
- Competitive Salary package: super + salary sacrifice + carpark
Supporting Queensland’s largest hospitals, this Foundation primarily raises funds to strengthen ground-breaking medical research programs. But, it also works to help finance the latest equipment, technology and training so that dedicated staff can continue to provide the best possible care for each one of the hospital’s patients.
Traditionally, its fundraising has been vested in ‘loyalty giving’ by numerous generous individuals, businesses and community groups. But it’s now time for change. And an expert Insights Manager is needed to unlock the many opportunities concealed within the long-established fundraising portfolio.
Reporting to the CEO and using newly installed Raiser’s Edge software, you will bring the expertise, technical knowhow and the vital curiosity needed to unearth the vital intelligence hidden deep in the fundraising records. Leveraging off your IT expertise, you’ll mine the data to clearly show who the donors are, where they come from, when they give, how they give and above all, what triggers have actually encouraged their benevolence.
Drawing on past experience combined with significant communications and interpersonal skills, you’ll tailor insightful reporting and “talk up” the vital roles played by the database in today’s nonprofit environment.
Leading transformative thinking across the Foundation, you’ll be leading a business-wide movement to instill ‘database thinking’ into every aspect of its day-to-day work. In short, it will be you and your data-driven insights that inform the strategic plan across this vital Foundation’s Fundraising and Communications strategy – and encourage everyone in the team to understand its significance.
To be in the running for this exciting, forward-looking, autonomous role, you will need relevant tertiary qualifications – either in IT or Business – and considerable experience in data analytics, reporting and database management, hopefully (although not essentially) with an NFP brand.
Technical knowledge in managing CRMs (Raiser’s Edge is ideal) and advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook are mandatory. Your skills with Excel are expected to be at the cutting edge – e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, data matching, statistical tools etc – as are your capabilities in managing large data tools.
Above all, you must be an eager team player, with a passion for the fundamentals and logistics of database marketing and the enthusiasm to share your expertise, vision and insights with everyone across this NFP business.
