Leading the collaboration of business, science, government and philanthropy, this NFP Foundation is the lead charity for the Great Barrier Reef.
Made up of 2,900 reefs along 2,300km of Queensland’s coastline, the Great Barrier Reef is one of the largest United Nations World Heritage areas, visible even from space! It contributes over $6bn annually to the Australian economy and generates more than 64,000 jobs.
For two decades, this science based, support Foundation has battled extremes to find funding solutions for the long-term conservation of this global icon. With an ambitious five-year vision and program ready to implement, fully supported by leadership and the board, now is the time to muster worldwide support.
So, it’s time to invite champions, patrons and benefactors from around the world to contribute what they can to help raise the funding that will be so crucial to conserving and preserving this unique natural wonder into the future.
Your task – if you’re fortunate enough to clinch this awesome role – will be to collaborate with a sizeable, cross-functional team of fundraising and development specialists, here in Brisbane, to drive growth in line with an ambitious 5-year development Plan. And you’ll launch this by implementing a comprehensive acquisition and retention plan across all channels – eg. digital, phone and mail – within Australian and international markets.
In spite of this comparatively simple start, you’ll be wise not to underestimate the scope and complexity of this big and busy job. With major multi-channel programs and campaigns running concurrently, you’ll need to be fluid, flexible, focused and an expert operator, to keep your head straight while you play and direct multiple ‘games’.
To bring the skills and levels of expertise we expect, you need a strong grasp of the ‘creative backed by numbers’ strategic concept with extensive experience in KPI’s, segmentation, DM in all its forms and in reporting analytics in ways that other less IT-orientated folk can easily follow.
Collaborative, innovative, strategic and a proven team performer, you have an excellent record of success across direct marketing, ideally in the NFP sector. However, commercial experience will also be valued if you can show us how deftly you have managed multiple, integrated campaigns where a lovely donor experience has been central to your every action.
Self-motivated, proactive and able to work effectively as a member of a passionate, dedicated and hardworking team is extremely important. As are your capabilities across such attributes as leadership and influence; planning and organisation and – of course – delivering results.
