Great role for ethical, organised, engaged & flexible administrator looking for growth.
This absorbing role is with the small Brisbane branch of a national peak body that trains and accredits mental health professionals throughout Australia and New Zealand. It is also active in advocating for better mental health for our communities.
In a bright and busy job that is never the same two days in a row, you can expect to carry out a very wide range of tasks – all of them well-suited to your enthusiastic, hands-on, flexible but systematic way of working.
Overall, your remit will cover providing assistance with the day-to-day running of all office activities and providing back-up support to other staff when necessary.
One day, you might answer and direct phone calls, assist with the mail, enter invoices into the database, manage room bookings for meetings, help produce a newsletter and prepare other materials for important meetings. Another day might focus on audio-typing, data entry, word processing and other PC related tasks, attending meetings and setting up a new office management system.
But you’ll be happy to take all this – and more – in hand if you are bringing the enthusiasm and expected multi-skills of a mature minded, widely experienced and capable administrator/ assistant.
That includes all the “givens”. In short, you’re a great team player: a planner and problem solver with excellent time management skills and – above all – the flexibility to alter your priorities to meet changing demands.
Cheerful, unflappable and a pleasure to work with, your well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, sound attention to detail and initiative add welcome dimension to your advanced capability across the Microsoft suite.
Because this business is very active with ‘out of hours’ meetings and events, preference will be given to candidates who are free and flexible about being available outside of standard work hours and at (some) weekends.
A tertiary qualification – or current study towards one – will also be very well regarded. And your experience with or knowledge of database software is also an advantage.
To be considered for this role, please forward your cover letter and your resume in WORD format quoting reference number ARADBR-Web to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Annette Rafter on 07 3211 0001.
