Instantly recognisable, this long-established non-profit is a dynamic, outcome-focused national organisation. Responsive to community needs, it’s actively involved in continually raising funds to support people and their families who are touched by a wide group of common, life-threatening diseases.

Essential income is derived through its fundraising activities and these are popular, high-profile campaigns and events that occur across Queensland. These include peer to peer events and activities, social gatherings, award winning special campaigns – and much, much more.

In this exciting and busy role, you’ll provide the leadership, support and encouragement needed by the wonderful hard-working Campaigns and Events teams who bring these together, on time, on budget and with clear financial returns.

Empathetic and supportive, you’ll fuse the talents and energies of your team around a common purpose. And, in bringing out the best in each person, guide them to success and the matchless satisfaction of seeing the results of all their hard work – in both essential income and brand awareness.

So, while this is a role that is delightfully hands-on and involved, it’s about leading from the front. You’re not there to do the heavy lifting but to be 100% certain that those who are, know precisely what’s required of them and have the tools to do the best job possible.

As a fundraising professional, you know all about the mechanics and technical aspects behind a successful fundraising campaign and event. You know about being aware of what happens when each donation comes in – where it came from, where it goes, how it’s accounted for and why impeccable reporting is so important through detailed campaign analysis and review.

High competition for the donation dollar also means you need to keep everything in context and stay finely attuned to the wider ever-moving fundraising environment. Outcomes-focused with a passion for the cause, you’ll continually engage with stakeholders and members of the community in organisations, businesses, schools and other groups to seek support and champion your mission at every opportunity.

This is an exceptional opportunity to add lustre to your resume.

Complex, people-centric and extremely collaborative, this bright and busy, fun-filled contract role should prove very rewarding to a fundraiser who really knows ‘their stuff’ and is looking to do something a little different.

For the best results, you are advised to craft that compelling covering letter that tells the story that is uniquely yours aligning your experience and skillset with this opportunity.
