Business growth is important but ‘people first’ is paramount …
With 40+ years of experience as a trusted aged care provider, this collaborative enterprise shines.
Unfailingly ‘people first,’ it brings enrichment into the lives of elderly, socially disconnected and housebound individuals in the Brisbane metro area.
Each of these clients enjoys an individually, purpose-designed program that’s regularly reviewed to ensure it provides the right integrated mix of care and support services as their needs change. Included in these ’wrap around’ services are in‑home aged care, clinical and allied health, community transport, respite, wellness programs and social engagement plus a wonderful range of ‘keep moving’ activities.
But all this lovely care and kindness doesn’t stop with the clients. A warmly approachable, business-wise Chief Executive Officer (CEO) backed by an engaged, multi-skilled Board makes sure that staff and volunteers are also cared for like family. Listened to, encouraged and supported. So, this is a place where people love to work!
Use your professional knowledge and capabilities to make ‘a very good thing’ even better!
Working closely with the CEO, leading the organisation’s strategic growth, stakeholder engagement and service integration, you’ll work to ensure it remains sustainable, well-positioned, and responsive to community needs. And of course, future proofed against unexpected developments!
Accountable to the CEO, and with five direct reports, you’ll be responsible for strategy, growth, engagement and organisational integration by providing executive oversight across key service portfolios. At the same time, you’ll be enabling high-quality service delivery through strong governance structures, effective partnerships, and strategic project leadership.
Your ability to align with strong people‑centred values is critical.
The emphasis is on compassion, trust, collaboration and respect for clients, members, staff, and volunteers, backed by genuine warmth, strong emotional intelligence, respect for everyone, (including yourself), and the ability to see situations through others’ perspectives.
As too, is your understanding of the aged care sector…
Outstanding emotional intelligence will be backed by your comprehensive understanding of the aged care landscape, including relevant funding models, such as government‑funded programs, private funding arrangements, and evolving reform settings.
Some practical, hands-on experience in aged care will be a bonus. But, strong experience across community services or elsewhere in the nonprofit sector may also be useful, so long as it has given you the capability to operate confidently within the aged care funding and regulatory environment.
If you can meet the above requirements and crave more emotional connection to the work you do, contact Kym Cheatham on 07 3211 0001 for a great discussion of how gaining this position could change your life.
