Current Situation
Open Minds has merged with Multicap and have been experiencing fast growth. Open Minds has received federal funding to establish “Head to Health” hubs in Ipswich & Kingaroy. This will include the physical location + service delivery. The H2H hubs are servicing adults aged 18 – 65 years experiencing mental health issues.

About the role
The Clinical Lead will work with the Program and Clinical Services Managers to establish the Head to Health Satellite services across the Ipswich region.
The Clinical Lead will provide clinical oversight for, clinical supervision and leadership of, a multidisciplinary health team to inform and guide the delivery of high-quality mental health intake, assessment and triage services for people who experience mental health issues and/ or distress. Work in collaboration with the Stakeholder Engagement Co-ordinator (SEC) to promote the Head to Health (HTH) services across the community.
This unique and exciting greenfield opportunity will require an innovative and flexible Clinical Lead with at least 5yrs’ experience managing and guiding high performing teams in a service delivery environment. Strong understanding of the broader group of Allied Health Professionals and the ability to connect to other services will be critical to success in this role.
The opportunity to build a newly formed team, policies, processes, frameworks, and a dynamic culture in new premises in the CBD of Ipswich will be a rewarding challenge. Who we are looking for
Essential
- Formal tertiary qualification as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Exercise Physiologist, Registered Nurse or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency essential, or a Social Worker with eligibility to register with the Australian Association of Social Worker
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements including travel and to work after hours (weekends & evenings).
- Blue Card, Driver’s License, Police Check
Desirable
- Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health
- Demonstrated excellence in Mental Health service delivery.
- Clinical Lead experience ideally in a greenfield’s site & building teams from scratch.
- Experience in working in cross cultural settings, especially with First Nations People and priority populations.
- Experience in working in a trauma informed and recovery-oriented service, with individuals experiencing complexity.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team within a diverse environment.
- Incredible flexible & innovative during this growth phase.
