    Accoras is a purpose-driven organisation and registered charity dedicated to promoting ‘good mental health for all’ across Southeast Queensland. With over 30 years of experience, Accoras provides evidence-based, early intervention mental health, employment and wellbeing services, helping people address and prevent mental health challenges at any stage of life. 

    Accoras delivers a broad range of services through key programs designed to meet diverse community needs: 

    • Child, Youth, and Family Support Services: Offering government-funded programs to support children, young people, and families, including: 
      • Accoras you.nique: Free outreach program supporting children and young people aged 0-18 experiencing early signs of mental health concerns.  
      • Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP): Free mental health support for children and young people aged 7-17 who are at risk of complex mental illness. 
      • Secondary to Intensive Family Support: Support for culturally and linguistically diverse families with complex needs.  
      • headspace Inala: As the lead agency for headspace Inala, Accoras provides free, holistic early intervention services for young people aged 12-25 experiencing mental health issues. 
    • Employment Support Services: Helping people manage work, study, and employment-related challenges, with programs including: 
      • headspace Work and Study Inala: Free support for young people aged 15-25 to help them reach their educational and career goals. 
      • MobBOOST (Indigenous Skills and Employment Program – ISEP): Free service connecting First Nations people with jobs, career advancement, training, and job-readiness activities. 
    • Psychology Services: Encompasses a team of over 14 highly skilled practitioners, providing diverse mental health interventions across various client presentations. 
    • Community Education Services: Through outreach and education, Accoras promotes understanding and resilience in the community, supporting long-term mental health outcomes. Key initiatives include: 
      • Complex Needs Consultation Panel (CNCP): As the lead agency for the Complex Needs Consultation Panel (CNCP), Accoras coordinates a team of skilled representatives to support clinicians, by addressing non-clinical factors affecting adults with severe mental illness who are unresponsive to standard treatments.

  • The Role
    • Formal professional qualifications such as CA/CPA, supported by tertiary management degree will be highly regarded. 
    • Demonstrated ability to professionally lead and manage the commercial and business management process, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, in accordance with organisation priorities, objectives and strategic directions. 
    • Manage the ongoing implementation of the Accoras financial management framework and develop financial reports/similar which promote effective budget management and reporting to CEO and Board. 
    • Provide clear leadership, direction, and management of the organisational services team, and ensure the achievement of each area’s operational workplans and objectives. 
    • Collaborate with other members of the Executive Team to promote and achieve organisational cohesion, the development of a culture of continuous improvement, and the promotion and adherence of organizational values and behaviours. 
    • Provide advice, regular updates and reports to the CEO, Board and Executive Team relating to financial performance, governance, safety, audit, risk and strategy. 
    • Provide strategic advice and support to the CEO regarding the planning, financial, evaluation, implementation, and management of current and future growth opportunities for the business. 
    • Manage assets, liabilities, and resources to support planned growth, including people and infrastructure. 
    • Oversee and create/manage the development and implementation of budgets, to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally. 
    • Provide support and education to employees, including senior management, to maintain robust program governance and recording systems, in accordance with company policies, and contractual obligations and monitor the use of all funds. 
    • Engage other members of the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team to facilitate cross-service collaboration that ensures that all financial, governance, safety, IT and risk management solutions positively support Accoras’ evolving strategy, operational delivery, and data collection needs. 
    • Provide financial support and guidance to Accoras tenders, proposals, and responses to government/regulators within the Board’s business parameters. 
    • Develop and implement systems, processes and reporting that facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and lead Accoras through any quality audits as required. 
    • Oversee and monitor finance or organisational services external compliance reporting. 
    • Ensure a data governance framework is in place. 
    • Oversee the management of Accoras properties and assets, including purchases, contracts, maintenance and disposal. 
    • Provide contractual review and recommendations.
